Easy Solution for Removing Yellow Pillow Stains

Here is a very easy solution that I recommend for removing the yellow stains from your pillow.

1. Make sure your pillows can be machine washed. There should be a small tag that explains if the pillow can be machine washed.

2. Turn the machine water on HOT water. This is very important. The hot water helps loosen the particles that have soaked in the pillow for years.

3. Mix together the ingredients.

  • ¼ borax
  • ½ bleach
  • ½ laundry detergent
  • ½ powdered detergent

4. Now mix this solution into the hot water so that it fully dissolves. This allows the mixture to soak evenly into the pillows.

5. Make sure that when the pillows are washing in the machine that they are moving around and changing direction. If they aren’t able to move around a lot pause the machine and flip the pillows around.

6. Dry the pillows. This might take more than one run in the dryer.
