What’s the best bedside table fan – Review

What's the best bedside table fan - Reviews

Are you someone who is always sweating in bed? Personally, I wake up in the middle of the night soaked trying to find some cool air. Then I take one leg out from the covers to try a balance out my body temperature. It is an endless cycle that keeps me restless at night.

So I tested some bedside table fans to see if they could solve my problem. Some did and some did not. I put this guide together to save you some time when shopping for a bedside fan.

The Basic

Honeywell TurboForce Air Circulator Fan

Pros:

  • Small fan for table or floor
  • 3 speeds
  • 90-degree pivoting head

Cons:

  • Cheap
  • Does not rotate
  • Only useful in small rooms

Thoughts:

This fan is BASIC. I actually use it in my garage as a workshop fan and it is still going strong. It’s covered and dust and dirt so it is pretty durable. I cannot use it as a bedside table fan because it doesn’t oscillate. This means it has a steady chilling breeze blowing on you constantly through the night.

Authors Choice

Honeywell Dreamweaver Sleep

Pros:

  • “Pink Noise” Mixture of high and low frequencies that create a perfect sleeping environment
  • 3 cooling speeds
  • On and off Airflow shutter
  • Wide area oscillation
  • Quick tap Controls
  • USB charging port
  • Dimmable lights

Cons:

  • Small
  • Not very strong airflow

Thoughts:

This is the winner. It is small and fits perfectly on my bedside table. When I first ordered it I was skeptical of the “pink noise”. I had only ever heard of “white noise” for sleep. But I was surprised by how soothing and calming it was. The airflow is not as strong as other fans but it was the perfect median for me. Not sure I can sleep without it anymore.

2nd place bedside fan

Pros:

  • Battery powered/ Chargable
  • No blades so its child safe
  • Colorful LED lights
  • Ultra quiet

Cons:

  • Expensive for what you get
  • Only lasts 3-6 hours on full battery charge
  • Touch button breaks easily

Thoughts:

I really like a lot of things about this bedside fan. But for me the Cons outweigh the Pros. It isn’t built well and can break easily. It looks nice and the LED lights are a great feature. But it is function over fashion for me. I gave it 2nd place because I believe it is better then the BASIC bedside fan.
